Our keynotes are delivered by our founder Adjoa Assan, an award-winning law school graduate. Through her journey, Adjoa has inspired audiences from academia to high schools, advocating for global justice and encouraging young people to harness their unique talents for positive change.

At just 20 years old, Adjoa embarked on an inspiring journey by founding Western Sydney University's first Africa-focused student society. Driven by a desire to ensure authentic African perspectives were represented within academic circles, Adjoa collaborated with fellow students to fill a crucial gap.

This initiated a movement that received widespread support from university leaders and faculty members, particularly those with African heritage.

Today, Adjoa's commitment to amplifying African voices extends beyond campus borders, as evidenced by her active involvement in the Executive of the African Studies Association of Australasia and The Pacific.

Through this role, she continues to engage in meaningful dialogues and initiatives aimed at amplifying African voices on the global stage.
